Coroner rules man found dead in east valley died from heroin, ethanol intoxication

The Clark County coroner on Friday released the cause and manner of death for the man whose body was found June 11 in the east valley.
The man was identified as John Gregory Weidman, 48, of Las Vegas, the coroner said. Weidman’s cause of death was combined heroin and ethanol intoxication — the manner was ruled an accident.
Las Vegas police responded to 6019 Clark St., near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue, about 2 p.m. June 11 for a report of a suspicious body found at the home, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. The nature of the death appeared to be noncriminal, he said.
