Rizzo adjusts to life of love behind bars

“Mob Wives” star Ramona Rizzo’s fiance is in jail, and he is a “reputed Gambino family soldier.” Isn’t prison going to make it a weird relationship?

“Already, it is. You know what I mean?” says Rizzo, who celebrates her bachelorette party Saturday at Crazy Horse III strip club.

“It is what it is, right now. I get to visit him once a week for one hour. And we talk numerous times on the phone. You’re allowed 300 minutes a month, so we have to learn how to space it out,” she says.

“Also, we have computer that we get to do, which is unlimited like that.”

But the TV star’s marriage to Joseph “Joe Boy” Sclafani will be worth the challenges, she says.

“I’m closer to him than anybody out on the street, so it doesn’t really matter,” she says.

“I actually went down this road with him before, when he had a violation. So that’s how our relationship really bonded.”

Sclafani pleaded guilty to drug distribution charges in Staten Island, N.Y., and probably will go away for more than a decade. He has been called a “reputed Gambino family soldier” by the New York Post, US Magazine and the U.K. Daily Mail.

“So it will be longer time, but it’s something I already dealt with before. And once he gets officially sentenced, I’ll have, like, three-hour visits.”

My intrusive question: Does Rizzo not require a lot of hugs to fulfill her emotional needs?

“I have four kids for that,” she says. “I’m being hugged all the time. I’m really kind of hugged out, buddy,” she says, laughing.

Her four kids, from her previous marriage, bonded with Sclafani, too, she says.

“They just took to each other,” she says. “There were times when I stayed home, and they all went to the movies.

“Besides the fact that the bad thing happened — that he got arrested — everything else fell in place perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better connection for my kids.”

The “Mob Wives” couple are waiting to see whether he will make bail, so they can have a traditional wedding, or whether they will have to get married in jail.

While in Vegas, she wants to let loose at her bachelorette party and pose for photos with fans for Instagram (Instagram.com/ramonarizzo).

“I want to do what every girl wants to do. I just want to have fun, get a little pampering done, and when it comes time to party, have a good time and enjoy myself.”

I have two final personal questions for Rizzo.

First: Was I in danger just by talking to her? I mean, she is on “Mob Wives” and her grandfather was Benjamin “Lefty Guns” Ruggiero, who was portrayed by Al Pacino in “Donnie Brasco.”

“No, because I’m a public figure on TV. So it’s past that. It’s not about that anymore,” Rizzo says. “You’re looking at a public figure and someone who is considered an entertainer.”

And lastly: I have always wanted to know what’s scarier — the mob or the CIA? Who better than Rizzo to tell me.

“I would always be more scared of the CIA,” she says. “The CIA will always be around no matter what. The mob is dwindling day by day.

“Listen, the CIA can do anything they want. They have their own rules. You know what I’m saying? They have nobody to answer to. I totally would be more petrified of that.”
