LETTER: Nevada’s open space is a gift

As a long-time Republican, I agree with Gov. Joe Lombardo that federal spending needs to be controlled (April 12 Review-Journal). However, the governor’s suggestion to release more of Nevada’s federally owned land is a form of federal spending and diminishes Nevada’s gift of open space.
