No magic funding for solar power and health care

The government has no money and the rich pay the bills. Last Wednesday’s Review-Journal editorial, “Let the sunshine in,” spelled out the cost of rooftop solar to the ratepayers. And an editorial the following day discussed the costs of expanding Medicare coverage. Both great reads. Thank you.

And while the government can print and borrow money, taxes from the upper 10 percent pretty well sum up the income picture.

So instead of asking the government for money, let’s just ask the rich and quit pretending there is some magic funding sources for solar power and health care. Yes, the rich pay the subsidies regardless of their political party.
