We should all root for Kris Bryant

He’s rich, handsome, hits for power and — it turns out — is a really nice guy.

Kris Bryant, Bonanza High grad and the consensus top prospect in baseball, made a fan for life on Thursday of Jason Witt’s young son, Griffin, as reported by Big League Stew.

Jason and Griffin had primo seats for the Chicago Cubs “B” game in Scottsdale, where they were lucky enough to see Bryant jack yet another home run in an early at-bat.

Later in the game, Bryant broke a bat grounding out, and gave the splintered stick to 6-year-old Griffin, who had been cheering him on the entire game.

The moment put a huge smile on Griffin’s face, but you don’t get to be the top prospect in baseball by just doing things halfway.

After the game, Bryant returned to meet the Witts, and graciously autographed the bat for young Griffin, signing it, “To my #1 fan.”

We don’t have to tell you how great this was — Griffin’s dad documented it on Twitter. See below … but get ready to become a Kris Bryant fan.
