Former NFL star Lynch squares off with UFC champ Rockhold — VIDEO

Is it possible Marshawn Lynch’s retirement from football was just a precursor to an announcement he will be pursuing a second career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship?

Probably not.

But the former Seahawks and Bills star sure looked like he was having a good time squaring off against UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in a light-hearted sparring session.

Rockhold posted the video Friday on social media.

While several former football players have made the switch to mixed martial arts, including Brendan Schaub, Matt Mitrione and Marcus Jones, the video shouldn’t be seen as any kind of sign “Beast Mode” is considering any such career switch.

Both Lynch and Rockhold work with Tareq Azim, a performance coach in San Francisco.

Rockhold is scheduled to defend the title against former champ Chris Weidman in the main event of UFC 199 on June 4 in Los Angeles.
