Roxanne Modafferi gets redemption on TUF 26 — VIDEO
The UFC’s longtime reality series, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), is back with its 26th season. TUF 26 will look to crown the UFC’s first female flyweight champion. Sixteen women will battle it out in a tournament to determine who will fight for the belt.
Roxanne Modafferi, who trains out of Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas, is competing on the show and was ranked as the no. 1 seed in the flyweight tournament. In the first episode, she earned a first-round, technical knockout win over Shana Dobson. It was a redeeming victory for Modafferi who lost in the elimination round on TUF 18 back in 2013.
Modafferi, 34, talks about returning to The Ultimate Fighter for a second season, what she learned from being coached by UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje on the show, and how her coaches in Las Vegas helped her to evolve her game.
