Ex-UNLV basketball coach Grgurich released from hospital

Tim Grgurich, a former UNLV assistant and head basketball coach, was released from a Los Angeles hospital Friday after being treated for two blockages to his heart.
Grgurich, 72, an assistant coach with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, underwent the procedures last week at USC Medical Center. He is expected to return to the Bucks this season.
Grgurich, who lives in Henderson, will remain in Southern California for the immediate future to be monitored by his personal physician, Dr. James Murray.
Grgurich was an assistant to Jerry Tarkanian from 1981 to 1992 and returned to the program in 1994 as head coach only to step down for health reasons after seven games.
