Las Vegas police say man shoots himself in car on US 95

The northbound off-ramp from U.S. Highway 95 onto Craig Road has reopened following its closure Sunday afternoon after a man shot himself inside a car, police said.
Police said the man told his girlfriend, who was driving the car just south of the off-ramp, that he was going to kill himself if she broke up with him.
A 5-year-old child and 5-month-old baby were in the backseat of the car at the time of the shooting. The man died at the scene.
The woman pulled over on the off-ramp and called 911 at 4:45 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Grant Rogers said.
The off-ramp was temporarily shut down after the incident.
