Advertising executive drives vehicle he promotes

Veteran Southern Nevada advertising and public relations executive Tom Letizia believes in driving the product he promotes. The 63-year-old voice of Planet Hyundai Sahara just purchased his second Equus.

“I was one of the first Equus owners in Nevada when I bought my first Equus three years ago,” Letizia said. “I drove Mercedes vehicles since 1974 until I bought my first Equus. So, I was one that had high expectations for the vehicle.”

Letizia purchased a 2014 Equus through sales agent Terry Mills in mid-May.

“I was amazed with all of the improvements in the new 2014 Equus,” Letizia said. “The technology is far beyond anything I expected. Not only was the car even more luxurious than the previous models, but the handling is also amazing.”

“I’m a car guy who appreciates fine automobiles, and this car is one amazing automobile,” said Letizia, who has resided in Las Vegas since 1971.

The car has the Hyundai 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

“The great thing about the Hyundai warranty is that the cars don’t break down, so you rarely have to use it,” Letizia said. “However, it’s nice knowing that the assurance is there for you. This is the finest car in the Hyundai fleet, and the best one I’ve ever owned.”

The Equuus comes with a premium coverage package that goes the extra mile.

“You never have to come to the dealership for service,” Letizia said. “They pick up your car and give you another one to drive while the service is being done. It’s the coolest thing ever.”

Letizia is such a believer in the product that several family members also have purchased Hyundais.

“My son-in-law, Conor Flynn, just bought a new Elantra and my mother-in-law, Adrianne Glusman, bought a new Sonata,” he said, “and my father-in-law, Freddie Glusman, bought an Elantra for his girlfriend.”

Letizia also praised Mills, a 17-year veteran of the car business who serves as Planet Hyundai Sahara’s Internet sales manager.

“He takes care of me during the buying process and he also calls me later to see how things are going,” Letizia said. “He calls many times and always returns my calls quickly In addition, this is a one-of-a-kind car dealer. They treat the customer right.”

Mills said Letizia’s Equus has a heads-up display, power trunk, self-closing doors and video monitors to provide a 360-degree camera view.

“People want luxury features for the best value,” Mills said. “They find that with the Equus.”
