Dining guide pick of the week: Shakespeare’s Grille & Pub

790 CORONADO CENTER DRIVE at SOUTH EASTERN AVENUE, 837-7900

For the record, William Shakespeare was born in April 1564 and died in April 1616. But October is when Southern Nevada celebrates the Bard of Avon, as the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company hosts its 25th anniversary of Shakespeare in the Park with performances of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" throughout Henderson. Get in the mood with Guinness barbecue wings, chips and curry, pear and blue cheese salad, Caribbean chicken salad and turkey chili in a sourdough bread bowl. Several traditional dishes are shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, savory meat pie and chips, beer-battered fish and chips with coleslaw, steak and mushroom pie, and chicken curry with veggies. Wagu beef burgers are served on a sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion and fries. Saturday and Sunday brunch features smoked salmon and bagels, eggs Benedict and the British All Day Breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and sourdough toast. Hamburgers begin at $12.95 and brunch at $5.95. Shakespeare's is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
