PICK OF THE WEEK:
HOLLEY'S CUPPA
9265 S. Cimarron Road at Blue diamond Road, 702-778-7750
If a really fresh cup of coffee is important to you, visit Holley Steeley. The former Cirque du Soleil performer lets you select your favorite type of bean (light, medium or dark) from Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia or Mexico and then grinds it fresh before brewing that perfect cup. The aroma and taste are delicious. Try a cappuccino (espresso shot, half milk, half foam), macchiato (espresso shot, touch of steamed milk), or flavored latte (vanilla, caramel, almond, Irish cream, raspberry mocha, gingerbread, peppermint mocha or English toffee). Hungry? Featured croissant sandwiches are chicken salad, turkey and Swiss, turkey with cranberry and stuffing, ham and cheddar, and Peanut Butter Fluff with peanut butter and jelly. Breakfast selections include bagels, muffins, scones, shortbread, oatmeal or a sausage, cheese and egg sandwich on croissant or English muffin. There is chicken poblano soup, a variety of smoothies (strawberry banana, orange cream, blueberry acai), slushes and homemade cookies. This is a family-oriented, independent coffee shop with games, books and newspapers, where you can stay two minutes or two hours. Sandwiches start at $4 and coffees at $2.10. Holley's Cuppa is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. - Jack Bulavsky
