At N&N, Thai and Chinese food is done right. Entrees include Chinese Kung Pao chicken with peppers, mushrooms, celery, bamboo, water chestnuts and peanuts in a spicy and sweet soy sauce, while the Thai gai pad prik is sautéed chicken with bell peppers, green beans and bamboo shoots in red chili paste. Other entrees are orange chicken, pepper steak, spicy mint squid, salt and pepper fried shrimp, Mongolian beef, chicken or beef pad Thai and catfish fillet with chili sauce. Several noodle dishes are barbecue pork noodle soup, combination chow mein (chicken, beef, shrimp, mixed vegetables), lad nah (pan-fried flat rice noodles) and Thai-style beef noodle soup. There is chop suey, egg foo yong, curry (red, green, peanut panang), various fried rice selections and soups such as egg drop, hot and sour, and seafood tom yum with shrimp, mussels, catfish, squid, mushrooms, lime juice and chili. Popular salads are papaya, chicken, glass noodle, shrimp and beef nam tok with charbroiled beef, red and green onion, mint and lime juice. Lunch specials ($5.99) are served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entrees begin at $7.25. N&N Oriental is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday.
