Facebook temporarily bans mom over ‘Coppertone’ pic

A North Carolina mom was temporarily banned from Facebook for posting a picture of her 2-year-old daughter and her friend that she thought resembled a 1953 Coppertone picture.

Jill White, a professional photographer, states Facebook took the photo off her page and banned her temporarily after she posted it on June 30 saying it violated its standards on “nudity and pornography,” according to Fox News, because her daughter’s bottom was showing.

“I was completely shocked and outraged,” White told Fox News. “Nowhere did I see anything pornographic about this photo. There is nothing sexual about it. It’s sweet.”

Buzzfeed reported that White has since posted the photo again to her Facebook page with a smiley face covering her daughter’s exposed bottom.
