NEW FITNESS STUDIO SLATED TO OPEN IN HENDERSON

Intermix Fitness Elite is scheduled to host a grand opening celebration for its Henderson location at 5:30 p.m. April 21 at 1770 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway.

Owner Almas Meirmanov plans to offer a presentation at the event. The studio is expected to offer fitness programs and nutritional guidance.

AQUATICS JOB FAIR SCHEDULED

An aquatics job fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at the Whitney Ranch Aquatic Complex, 1575 Galleria Drive.

People 16 or older are encouraged to apply for part-time, year-round and seasonal positions ranging from lifeguard to recreation assistants and water safety instructors.

BOWLING EVENT TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT TEEN SEXTING

SM@RTConnections is scheduled to host a bowling fundraiser at 1:30 p.m. April 27 at Wildfire Casino, 4451 E. Sunset Road.

The Leadership Henderson-sponsored Hero Bowl: Knock Down Pins for Kids event encourages participants to dress as their favorite superhero.

The fundraiser is also expected to raise awareness about teen sexting.

Registration is $45 per person or $200 for a team of five through April 20 or $50 per person after.

HENDERSON SEEKS ARTISTS TO DESIGN MURAL FOR TEEN LOUNGE

The city of Henderson is seeking artists or arts groups to create a mural for the teen lounge at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive.

The proposed mural should reflect the purpose of the lounge, which provides a safe gathering place for teens and preteens to socialize, learn and grow.

Applications are due April 25.

HENDERSON ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR TEEN TRAINING PROGRAM

Henderson is accepting applications for its Teen-N-Training junior leader program.

The program provides hands-on learning experiences, training teens to become future recreation leaders.

Participation is open to teens 14 or 15 years old and costs $110 per teen.

Applications are due April 18.
