Long-time Cadillac customer loves Findlay dealership

Howard Belkoff could qualify as a historian for Cadillac, considering how many models he has owned and been around in the past 50 years.

The Las Vegas resident has owned seven Cadillacs, including a hearse that he used while operating a funeral home in New Jersey. His father, Dr. Michael Belkoff, owned 11 Cadillacs, ranging from 1955 to 1996 models. Overall, his family has driven Cadillacs for the past 60 years.

Belkoff, who has experience as a customer and employee of Cadillac (he worked at a dealership while in college in the late 1960s and '70s), said Findlay Cadillac Saab in the Valley Automall is a top-notch establishment. The four-story, 200,000-square-foot dealership boasts a spacious indoor showroom, as well as an underground service department and 51 service bays.

"It's a state-of-the-art dealership," said Belkoff, who became a customer about three years ago when he had his '96 Cadillac Seville serviced. "I have seen many Cadillac dealerships for the past several decades and this one certainly rates right at the top."

"Cadillac customers deserve the best and they find only the best at Findlay Cadillac," said Belkoff. "I go to the Findlay Cadillac service department because they always get the job done right. They have certified mechanics and I don't worry when I spend my money there.

"It's going to be done right and I specifically appreciate the service I received from my technical adviser Keith Acree, who is very nice and soft-spoken. He is honest and when he tells me I need something, I know he's telling me the truth. You cannot put a dollar value on people like Keith. I know my car is safe after having it worked on at Findlay Cadillac."

Belkoff said he prefers Cadillacs for their quiet engines that have improved fuel efficiency over the years, and, in particular, he loves the ride Cadillac provides.

"The ride of the Cadillac is unbelievable," he said. "Cadillac has always been my dream car and the ride has been engineered so that it's like sitting in your living room. The car is very roomy and you're never crunched in them."

Additionally, the cars get attention for their looks.

"No matter what model, the Cadillac gets the attention of others on the road," Belkoff said. "And when you own one of them, it almost appears that you're wealthy. It just has a special pizzazz to it that you won't find with another car."

Belkoff's favorite Cadillac is white with red leather interior.

Situated in the Valley Automall, Findlay Cadillac Saab is led by general manager John Saksa. The dealership is part of Findlay Automotive Group which was founded more than 48 years ago by the late Pete Findlay.

Findlay's son, Cliff, now spearheads automobile dealerships in Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Idaho.
