Ore. police say doggie daycare worker threw his dog onto concrete

A man who works at a doggie daycare business is accused of grabbing his dog by the neck and throwing it 10 to 15 feet onto the concrete at a Beaverton, Oregon, skate park.

Witnesses told officers that the dog was limping around and cowering in fear from its owner after being thrown to the ground on Monday, according to KPTV.

Police contacted the dog’s owner, identified as Daniel Bulzacchelli II, 22, of Portland. Bulzacchelli told officers that his 1-year-old blue heeler named Blucifer had walked onto the concrete skating area and he was concerned that the dog would be hit.

According to police, Bulzacchelli admitted grabbing the dog with one hand by the neck and one hand by the rear before he “lightly tossed him out of the way.”

Bulzacchelli was arrested on the charge of second-degree animal abuse and booked in the Washington County Jail. Blucifer was taken to the Washington County Animal Shelter.

This case is currently under investigation by the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said Bulzacchelli is currently employed by an unspecified doggie daycare business.
