Shea Homes at Ardiente to hold grand opening today

Shea Homes at Ardiente, an age-qualified resort-style community in North Las Vegas, is celebrating the opening of the Naples model, the newest design in the Riviera collection, today and Sunday.

Ardiente features SheaXero — No Electric Bill Homes, which helps reduce homeowners’ energy bills.

The Naples floor plan has continuously been a best seller at sister community Encanterra Country Club in Arizona. This model has been noted for its floor plan that effectively uses every inch of the 1,359 square feet.

The design features two bedrooms, with the master suite in the home’s rear for privacy. The design also has a great room built with 10-foot ceilings and high windows that flood the room with light. Other features include optional bay windows in the office and master suite, offering natural light.

The Naples has the latest innovations of SheaXero. Through a blend of energy-efficient features and solar systems, the home produces as much electricity as it uses, Ardiente community manager Kyle Tibbitts said.

Homeowner Ray Kristall said, “With our green home, we are eco-friendly and more economical. We actually don’t mind opening our electric bills.”

Besides the solar system, the home has 14 energy-saving features, such as Jenn-Air Energy Star appliances, Trane energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, low-e vinyl windows and blown-in insulation.

In Ardiente, the solar system is included in the home price, Tibbitts said

At the hub of the gated community is a private 20,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring two resort-style pools, a fitness center, group exercise studio and access to miles of walking trails.
