Now that the royal baby name has finally been revealed as Charlotte, Google has released the most searched-for baby names over the past year, and some are pretty interesting.
The searches for girl and boy names were based off search data including searches for “common baby names” and “meaning of” over the past year.
The top three nationwide were Michael, James and Avery for boys; and Elizabeth, Olivia and Emma for girls.
In Nevada, the top boy name was Kevin and the top girl name was Grace. Ohio was the only other state that searched for Grace the most, and Nevada’s the only state with Kevin in the top spot.
Some more interesting searches were Zyion in Arkansas, Nico in Connecticut and Finn in Oregon.
To save you some time, Zyion is an alternate spelling of “Zion,” a biblical term for the promised land, according to babynamewizard.com.
As for girls’ names, “Frozen’s” Elsa took Oregon; New Mexico searched for Malachi; and Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont searched for Risley, Maeve and Holga, respectively.
