Veteran salesman breaks record at Planet Hyundai

Veteran automobile sales consultant Amos Maly is back selling a vehicle that signaled the start of his career, and he’s recorded huge numbers in his first month with Planet Hyundai Centennial, 6200 Centennial Blvd.

Maly, a native of Israel, sold more than 30 Hyundais in July to break store records in the process.

“My career started with Fletcher Jones Hyundai on Rancho Drive by Palace Station in 1986,” said Maly, who has sold more than 12,000 vehicles during his career. “I had 27 sales my first month there. We were selling the Hyundais for $4,999 and they were selling like hotcakes. However, nobody had any idea whatsoever that the Hyundai product would become the top-selling vehicle in the world ... ”

Maly, who has a large following in Southern Nevada, said Hyundai has surpassed its competition with a product that is less expensive and just as impressive as other high-end vehicles such as Lexus, Mercedes and BMW .

“I can sell cars anywhere, and I can honestly tell you that I’m happy to be back selling Hyundai and especially happy to be with Planet Hyundai Centennial,” he said.

Maly said he believes that one of the biggest reasons for Hyundai’s success is there is a price range offered for buyers of all incomes.

“This vehicle is not only priced fairly, but it also includes defined and perfected engineering,” he said. “In addition, it has the five-star safety and a high level of gas mileage efficiency. Especially during the past several years, Hyundai has produced an incredibly high-quality product.”

Additionally, each vehicle comes with a 10-year, 100,000-mile engine warranty along with a five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

“The warranty says it all,” Maly said. “I have sold five product lines in my years selling cars and the Hyundai is the finest, by far.”

Maly said many of the customers he has helped throughout the years have traded in their vehicles to Planet Hyundai simply because they want to experience the Hyundai while knowing they get more for their dollar in features.

“We are happy to have him here,” said Chance Slingerland, dealership general manager. “There is no question that he’s a selling machine and his following is immense.”

“It is a win-win scenario for our customers and us. To combine the personality, customer service integrity and selling skills of Amos with the design, fuel efficiency, reliability, value retention and warranty that comes with every Hyundai, the customer cannot do better anywhere in town than right here at Planet Hyundai,” added Ron Coury, dealership co-owner.

Planet Hyundai Centennial is part of a group of locally owned and operated dealerships that include Planet Hyundai Sahara, 7150 W. Sahara Ave., and Planet Hyundai Used Car SuperStore, 7100 W. Sahara Ave.
