Temps climbing into 90s through weekend in Las Vegas Valley

Temperatures will rise through the weekend in the Las Vegas Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday’s high was 89 degrees, and temperatures will gradually climb through the weekend.

Residents saw some light winds Thursday around 10 miles per hour. Light winds should last through Sunday, meteorologist John Adair said.

Friday’s high should be 92 degrees. Saturday should reach a high of 95 degrees, and Sunday will be even warmer, with a high of 97 degrees.

Next week could start off with a 20 percent chance of rain, but conditions may change over the weekend, Adair said.

The valley won’t see cool fall temperatures until the end of September into the beginning of October, Adair said.
