Warm today for Las Vegas Valley but cool-down coming for weekend
March 10, 2016 - 8:39 am
Slightly cooler temperatures are expected for the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, the National Weather Service said.
While Friday will see an 80-degree high, 11 degrees higher than the average for this time of year, temperatures will drop by 10 degrees Saturday
On Friday night there will be a 20 percent chance of showers and 15-25 mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph. The reason for this is weather systems that will be passing through the valley on Friday.
Saturday and Sunday are expected to have highs of 70 degrees and overnight lows of 52 degrees with cloudy skies, meteorologist Mike Paddock said.
Monday’s high should be 74 degrees with possible showers and gusts up to 35 mph, he said. Tuesday has a cooler forecast with a high of 71 degrees and a low of 48 degrees.
