Winds sticking around for another day in Las Vegas Valley

Breezy weather is expected to stick around the Las Vegas Valley on Tuesday before disappearing and potentially returning Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will see a high near 68 degrees and winds from the north and northwest between 15 and 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, meteorologist Mike Paddock said. The strongest winds can be expected in the north valley near Centennial Hills and North Las Vegas areas, he said.

Tuesday’s low will be in the upper 40s.

Temperatures start to climb again with Wednesday’s expected 73-degree high and Thursday probably reaching 79. These temperatures are a few degrees above normal, Paddock said. Las Vegans can expect clear skies, warm temperatures and calm winds midweek.

A system is expected to move into the valley Friday bringing south winds, but there is still “some uncertainty with that system,” Paddock said.
