All Things Country

Some of country music's hottest acts will perform at the second annual Coyote Country Fest on Saturday at the Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.

Blake Shelton, whose album "Hillbilly Bone" debuted earlier this year at No. 3 on the Billboard charts, will headline the festival. Uncle Kracker, Jaron and the Long Road to Love, The Band Perry, Matt Kennon and Jerrod Niemann also are scheduled to perform.

Last year, the country festival, featuring a different lineup, was so successful organizers decided to make it an annual event, says Tayra Lagomarsino, director of sales and marketing for the Orleans Arena.

"We obviously cater to locals and our focus is to bring good, affordable entertainment in," Lagomarsino says. "With last year's resounding success, it was an easy decision to bring it back. We're already getting ready to talk about next year."

The Orleans Arena and KCYE-FM, 102.7 are partners in the festival.

More than 6,000 people attended last year and organizers expect to match or exceed that number this year, Lagomarsino says.

"We plan on doing this far into the future. That's our hope," Lagomarsino says. "It's a great deal for the country music fans of Las Vegas."

The family-friendly event will feature autograph sessions with the artists, a mechanical bull and other entertainment. Local vendors, including Port o' Subs, Star Nursery and Walker Furniture, also will be on hand.

General admission is $15. Reserved seating costs $40, while the Inner Circle seating -- the first three rows -- costs $65. That includes a copy of Shelton's latest CD, "Six Pack."

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the concert starting at 6 p.m. The show will end about 11 p.m.
