Bryson Tiller
Bryson Tiller is clearly on his way up, with a super-smooth style that grabbed the attention of Drake, who tried to recruit him for his OVO roster, and Rihanna, who shared a Snapchat clip of her singing along to one of his songs. GQ's "New Surprise Hero of R&B" hits Vegas on Saturday for a sold-out show at the Brooklyn Bowl.
Iration
Speaking of the Brooklyn Bowl: Iration, the Isla Vista, California-based reggae sensation, is playing Sunday at The Linq. The evening of music features an opening set from Anuhea. Tickets range from $30 to $105 and the 18-and-older show kicks off at 8 p.m.
Chevy Metal
Chevy Metal is a cover band led by Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. When Dave Grohl broke his leg on stage, Hawkins played some of Chevy Metal's set list while the affable frontman was attended to. Catch Chevy Metal at Count's Vamp'd on Saturday with Wiley Hodgden and Brent Woods. The show is $10 and starts at 9 p.m.
Las Vegas Music Summit
The annual Las Vegas Music Summit returns next week to downtown Las Vegas, and again there's a free show set to coincide with the two-day conference. This one features a pair of local acts — Goldboots, which is finishing up a new record, and Brumby — along with Irontom from Southern California, on Thursday at Backstage Bar & Billiards.
LAX Throwback
Every week, LAX Nightclub at Luxor does its part to personify the notion of Throwback Thursdays with a slate of guest appearances by performers from previous eras. Vanilla Ice stopped by a few weeks ago, and this week, Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa fame will host. LAX opens at 10 p.m.
