The Nevada Friends of Paleontology and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum are planning a presentation led by paleontologists Drs. NORTH LAS VEGAS LIBRARY DISTRICT RECEIVES GRANT AWARD

The North Las Vegas Library District has received a $28,000 grant award from the NV Energy Foundation to upgrade computers at the City Hall Library that are accessible to the public.

The funds will enable the library to upgrade the current desktop towers, enhance services to patrons and fund future Virtual Desktop Infrastructure reducing operating costs.

NEW WINTER HOURS SET FOR CLARK COUNTY SHOOTING COMPLEX

AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING PLANNED AT CIMARRON ROSE COMMUNITY CENTER

The Las Vegas Department of Parks and Recreation is set to offer after-school tutoring at the Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road. Friends of Craig Ranch is set to offer two youth service scholarships. Local students between the ages of 13 and 22 are eligible for a $500 scholarship. CENTENNIAL HILLS HOSPITAL PLANS BABY-SITTING CERTIFICATION CLASS

A baby-sitting certification class is planned from 8 a.m. to noon the second Wednesday of every month at Centennial Hills Hospital, 6900 N. Durango Drive. The four-hour class helps youths ages 11 to 16 gain the knowledge and skills they need to care for infants and children, as well as time to practice these skills in a web-based program.
