Personal Appearance: Shoe designer Sam Edelman makes a public appearance from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Dillard's at Fashion Show mall. He will meet with fans, answer questions and sign shoes. Edelman's shoes have been worn by celebrities such as Dakota Fanning and Halle Berry.

Fashion with Compassion: The Blind Center of Nevada is putting on a fashion show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Valencia Ballroom at JW Marriott in Summerlin. Admission is $50 to attend the fashion show and champagne brunch, with a sale to follow. Including more than 10,000 pieces of new and designer clothing, the sale discounts pieces as much as 85 percent, is repeated later that day from 2 to 5 p.m., requires a $5 donation and benefits The Blind Center of Nevada.
