Billboard for Nevada brothel drawing fire in Calif.

A California billboard for a Nevada brothel is catching passers-by attention, but probably not in the way that was intended.

The pink billboard for the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, a licensed brothel in Mound House, Nev., northwest of Carson City, is visible from the I-580 in Oakland. It says ‘Bunny Ranch Bar & Cigar” and has a photo of Dennis Hof, the brothel’s owner.

Some Oakland residents have complained about the billboard, including Oakland City Councilman Noel Gallo.

“Having a billboard that’s promoting certain activities out of town, it’s not acceptable,” he told KPIX.

Hof told KPIX he’s advertising the bar area, not the brothel itself, and that he’s not doing anything illegal.

“It’s a restaurant, a bar and by the way, kids eat free on Tuesday,” he said.
