Man shot dead while testing bulletproof vest with friends
A 26-year-old man is dead after being shot while wearing a bulletproof vest.
According to MyFox8, a group of friends were gathered at a home when they decided to try on a bulletproof vest and have someone shoot them.
The victim, Blake Wardell, died after being shot in the chest.
“It wasn’t a fight,” Don McCown, the Anderson County Deputy Coroner, told The State. “They were actually going to take a shot at the vest. They were going to shoot the victim with the vest on. And he was shot in the chest, just above the vest.”
