Inaugural Psycho Las Vegas fest poses hard-rock challenges

Pick one: Japanese rock gods performing one of the most air-guitar-worthy records of the past decade in its entirety, or some perpetually baked Brits conjuring riffs seismic enough to drain the ink from nearby Richter scales?

A flatulent, metal lovin’ funnyman who doubles as a self-professed “fartist,” or some sweet, Rush-inspired synth jams?

These are some of the tough, tough choices attendees of the inaugural Psycho Las Vegas festival are going to have to make next week, as the set times have been released for the three-day marathon of hard rock at the Hard Rock, which goes down next Friday through Sunday (there’s also a prefest concert/party at the Hard Rock pool on Thursday).

With nearly 100 bands performing on three stages, there’s bound to be some conflicts between must-see acts, like aforementioned ragers Boris and Electric Wizard playing at the same time or comedian Brian Posehn clashing with instrumentalists Zombi.

As if all that wasn’t enough, there’s the most challenging decision that will have to be made at Psycho Las Vegas: Blow your entire paycheck on killer band merch, or save a portion of your earnings to feed your children? (Relax, you still have a few days to ponder this one.)

Here’s the full line-up.
