Vegas Stripped: Making the valley a little more green — VIDEO

Roz Brooks started Vegas Roots, a community garden with U-pick vegetables and rentable plots, six years ago when she noticed a total lack of fresh home-grown produce for locals.

They recently started the Veggie Buck Truck, selling produce out of a truck to different neighborhoods.

She is just about to roll out the “Five to Thrive” campaign, asking for five dollars a month from anyone to sustain the garden.
