Two people suffered minor injuries in a apartment building fire Monday night, according to a release from the Clark County Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to a 10:05 p.m. call at 3955 Algonquin Drive in the southeast part of the valley, finding heavy smoke and flames coming from the single-story apartment building.

The fire affected two apartments in the building, and two people with minor injuries were evaluated by medical personnel for possible smoke inhalation. One person was taken to UMC for further evaluation, the release said.

The Red Cross was called in to assist with two adults and one child displaced by the fire. No additional information was immediately available. The incident is under investigation.
