Cement truck crashes on US Highway 95

A cement truck crashed into a wall on U.S. Highway 95 early Saturday morning, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

About 3 a.m. a cement truck crashed into and damaged a large portion of the freeway wall on the southbound side of U.S. 95, north of Eastern Avenue, trooper Jason Buratczuk said.

The truck spilled concrete onto the freeway and a road below, Buratczuk confirmed. “Concrete was not an issue,” he said, because it didn’t dry and rain washed it away.

The cement truck driver was OK, Buratczuk said.

There are some lane closures, but no traffic delays, he said. The wall is being repaired.
