Coroner IDs pedestrian killed in Wednesday crash

The woman killed in Wednesday night's vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in the northeast valley has been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Patricia Cole, 55, was crossing the northbound travel lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard near Cheyenne Avenue about 9:35 p.m. when she was struck by a Chevrolet, according to police. The Chevrolet was traveling northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard when it crossed Cheyenne on a green traffic signal and hit Cole.

Cole was taken to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.

This is the 2nd traffic related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction in 2016.
