The Clark County coroner’s office on Thursday identified a woman who died after being hit by a car in the south valley Wednesday afternoon.
She was Barbara Brown, 65, of Las Vegas, the coroner said. She died at University Medical Center.
An initial investigation and surveillance video footage determined that Brown was crossing Wigwam Avenue near the intersection at Las Vegas Boulevard when a 2012 Honda Civic struck her, Las Vegas police said. The 29-year-old driver of the Civic stayed to talk with police and passed a field sobriety test.
Police said Brown was about 380 feet from the nearest crosswalk.
