Fire destroys mobile home in central Las Vegas
July 20, 2016 - 6:23 am
A mobile home in the central Las Vegas Valley is considered a loss and a cat is dead after a Tuesday night fire.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a high-level structural fire at Riviera Vegas Mobilhome Park, 2038 Palm St., near Fremont Street and St. Louis Avenue, about 11:20 p.m., according to deputy fire chief Jeff Buchanan.
Arriving personnel reported a large fire from a double-wide modular home that appeared to be vacant, department officials said.
Crews had to cut through boarded-up areas of the home to gain entry. The fire was in a crawl space making it challenging to get to and extinguish, Buchanan said.
The fire was knocked down about 11:40 p.m. and is under investigation.
A dollar value was not estimated. No injuries were reported, Buchanan said.
