Henderson animal facility closing temporarily for improvements

The Henderson Animal Care and Control Facility is closing temporarily in the coming week.

The facility at 300 Galleria Dr. will close for improvements and pest remediation on Wednesday and Thursday, Henderson Police Department spokeswoman Officer Michelle French said in a news release Saturday.

The cats and dogs will be relocated during the closure, housed in climate-controlled structures on the facility property, the release said.

After the pest remediation is finished, improvements will begin on the 20-year-old facility, French wrote. The construction will include "updating the main cattery area" and cosmetic improvements.
