Henderson apartment fire leaves 12 people displaced
A Saturday night apartment fire in Henderson displaced 12 people.
Henderson fire crews responded just after 11 p.m. to a fire at Lakewood Cove Apartments, 1100 Center St. near Warm Springs Road and Lake Mead Parkway.
The Henderson Fire Department said a man who lived in the 12-unit building called 911 after discovering a fire on his porch. Firefighters kept the fire contained in his apartment.
There were no injuries. The American Red Cross is helping and the 12 people and two pets who were displaced by the fire.
The fire’s cause is under investigation; the cost of the damage have not yet been estimated.
