Las Vegas police investigating body found in desert area of northwest valley

Las Vegas police are investigating a body found Wednesday morning in a desert area of the northwest valley.
A person walking in the desert past a construction site near Cliff Shadows Parkway and Lone Mountain Road discovered the body, which had a possible gunshot wound, at about 10:40 a.m., Metro officer Laura Meltzer said.
Metro Lt. Nicholas Farese said the dead person is male, and the death may be a suicide.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the man’s identity, as well as his cause and manner of death.
