Man dies in rollover crash on 215 near Summerlin Parkway

A man died in an early morning crash Wednesday on the 215 Beltway, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Just after 2 a.m., an NHP trooper saw a black Mercury Grand Marquis rolled over off the roadway on the 215 Beltway near Summerlin Parkway, NHP trooper Jason Buratczuk said.

The driver was trapped inside the vehicle, Buratczuk said. Emergency crews responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Traffic was diverted from the 215 northbound at Far Hills Avenue, but was reopened by 8 a.m., he said.

Buratczuk said this crash was the 23rd fatal crash in NHP’s southern command in 2016, and was the 24th traffic-related fatality in their jurisdiction this year.

No further details were immediately available.
