Woman airlifted to UMC after rollover near Mountain Springs
May 14, 2016 - 5:37 pm
A woman injured in a rollover crash Saturday afternoon on State Route 160 near Mountain Springs was airlifted by helicopter to University Medical Center.
About 3:50 p.m., a red SUV traveling south rolled over near mile marker 27, Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Jason Buratczuk said. The SUV came to rest near the right shoulder and impeded traffic, he said.
Clark County Fire Department responders had to use mechanical methods to remove the woman, identified only as a 48-year-old, from the vehicle, Buratczuk said. She was flown by a Mercy Air helicopter to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, he said.
Buratczuk said that the woman was wearing a seatbelt and is not suspected of impairment. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
