A woman is in critical condition after a Friday night DUI crash near downtown Las Vegas.
Just after 7 p.m. Friday, a Dodge Magnum 4-door wagon ran a red light crossing Maryland Parkway and struck a Ford Mustang turning left from Charleston Boulevard, police said.
The Dodge then struck a traffic signal post and a pedestrian who was waiting to cross the street. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries from the crash.
The occupants of both vehicles were taken to the University Medical Center. The 19-year-old driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries but the passenger, a 25-year-old woman, was in critical condition as of about 2 a.m. The driver of the Mustang suffered moderate injuries.
Police said the 19-year-old driver showed signs of impairment and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for driving under the influence resulting in substantial bodily harm.
