Woman killed in Sunday shooting near Arizona Charlie’s Decatur ID’d

A woman who was shot and killed early Sunday near Arizona Charlie’s Decatur has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

She was 25-year-old Tiyona M. McCladdie, the coroner’s office said.

Las Vegas police were called about 1:50 a.m. to the 700 block of South Decatur Boulevard, near Evergreen Avenue, where they found two people with gunshot wounds, the department wrote in a release Sunday.

A woman and man were in a car when they were confronted by someone in another vehicle near Decatur and Hayes Place, police said. Someone in the second vehicle, described only as a “dark car,” fired multiple rounds into the first vehicle and then fled, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

The car McCladdie was driving rolled a short distance, went over a median and stopped at Decatur and Evergreen, police said.

McCladdie was pronounced dead at the scene. She died of a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner’s office said Monday.

The man who was shot, McCladdie’s passenger, was taken to University Medical Center in stable condition, Metro Police Department Officer Laura Meltzer said.
