Metro seeking man who robbed same bank twice

Metro is seeking the public‘s help in identifying a man they said robbed the same bank in May and again earlier this month.

In both cases, the man reportedly jumped the teller‘s counter and took cash before climbing back down and exiting, police said in a news release. The robberies occurred about 10 a.m. on May 28 and July 6.

Both times police were called to the Smith‘s grocery store at 4840 W. Desert Inn Road, near Decatur Boulevard, Metro dispatch records show.

The robber is described by Metro as a light-skinned black man who stands between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 190 pounds.

Police said he is between the ages of 20 and 30 years old and during both robberies wore a white face mask, black do rag, sunglasses, and white gloves.

Surveillance photos show him wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt during the first robbery and a darker sweatshirt during the second one.
