Campbell, Taijeron lift 51s

Eric Campbell and Travis Taijeron each homered as the Las Vegas 51s opened a road series at Sacramento with an 8-5 victory on Monday night.
Campbell and Kyle Johnson each had three hits as the 51s pounded out 14. Campbell drove in three runs.
The offense helped Las Vegas (3-2) overcome a shaky outing by starter Noah Syndergaard. The Mets’ top prospect allowed three runs (two earned) and seven hits over four innings.
Syndergaard was lifted for a pinch hitter during a rally in the top of the fifth.
Matt Reynolds drew a lead-off walk and Campbell followed with a two-run home run. Taijeron drove in Alex Castellanos on a sacrifice fly later in the inning.
John Church and Zach Thornton each gave up one run in two innings of relief as the 51s held on to the lead.
Cody Satterwhite pitched a perfect ninth inning to record his second save.
Reynolds had two hits and scored twice for Las Vegas.
Adam Duvall had three hits and drove in three runs for the River Cats (3-2).
