UFC president Dana White offered a glowing endorsement of Donald Trump during a speech to the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night.

White mostly stayed away from politics during the four-minute speech at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, opting to endorse Trump more on a personal level.

“Donald championed the UFC before it was popular and before it grew into a successful business,” White said. “I will always be so grateful to him for standing with us in those early days. So tonight, I stand with Donald Trump.”

White, who has also thrown his support behind Democratic Sen. Harry Reid in the past, believes Trump is ready to do battle in the nation’s capital.

“I know fighters,” White said. “Donald Trump is a fighter and I know he will fight for this country.”
