Basics: Guard, 6-5, Senior

Background: Graduate transfer from Mercer who has played in 96 college games. Led the Bears in scoring (15.1 points per game) as a junior and scored a career-high 30 points against Tennessee. A 2011 graduate of Westchester Country Day School in High Point, N.C.

Favorite movie: "Fight Club."

If I didn't play basketball I would: Be a singer.

 

1 Derrick Jones

Basics: Forward, 6-7, Freshman

Background: A graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, Pa. ESPN ranked him the 27th-best player in the class of 2015. He won the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk Contest in Carmel, Ind., on April 1. Named to the USA Basketball Developmental National Team.

Favorite NBA team: Chicago Bulls.

I would love to visit: Spain.

 

2 Jerome Seagears

Basics: Guard, 6-1, Senior

Background: Sat out last season at UNLV as a redshirt after transferring from Rutgers, where he was a three-year starter. Academic All-Big East selection as a freshman and sophomore. A 2011 graduate of Flora Macdonald Academy in Red Springs, N.C.

Favorite food: Pancakes.

Something most people don't know about me: I like country music.

 

3 Jordan Cornish

Basics: Guard, 6-6, Sophomore

Background: Appeared in 32 games, with two starts, and averaged 5.5 points as a freshman. His 3-point percentage of .487 (38 of 78) ranks second all-time for a season at UNLV. A 2014 graduate of Brother Martin High School in New Orleans. He was ranked the No. 1 player in Louisiana.

If I could invite three people to dinner: Kobe Bryant, President Barack Obama, Kim Kardashian.

Favorite pro team: New Orleans Saints.

 

10 Daquan Cook

Basics: Guard, 6-2, Junior.

Background: Missed the 2014-15 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Appeared in 53 games, with two starts, in two seasons. A 2012 graduate of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md.

Favorite NBA player: Derrick Rose.

Favorite food: Hot wings.

 

11 Goodluck Okonoboh

Basics: Center, 6-10, Sophomore

Background: Appeared in 31 games, with 29 starts, and averaged 5.7 points as a freshman. His 90 blocked shots rank fourth in UNLV history for most blocks in a season. A 2014 graduate of Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Springfield, Mass. ESPN ranked him the 26th-best player in the class of 2014.

Favorite NBA team: Boston Celtics.

Favorite place I've visited: Haiti.

 

12 Tyrell Green

Basics: Forward, 6-7, Junior

Background: Transferred to UNLV from Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas. Averaged 14.6 points as a sophomore. In two years of junior college, he shot 48.4 percent from 3-point range. A 2013 graduate of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, N.J., but was raised in Toronto.

Favorite food: Pizza.

Favorite place I've visited: Indonesia.

 

13 Ben Carter

Basics: Forward, 6-9, Junior

Background: Appeared in 62 games, with five starts, in two seasons at Oregon. Redshirted the 2014-15 season after transferring. A 2012 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, where he played on two state championship teams.

Favorite NBA team: Los Angeles Lakers.

Something most people don't know about me: I was born in Israel.

 

14 Alex Perez

Basics: Guard, 6-4, Senior

Background: A walk-on transfer from Saint Katherine College in San Marcos, Calif. Played five minutes and scored two points for the Firebirds against UNLV on Dec. 5, 2014, at Orleans Arena. A 2011 graduate of La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, Calif.

Favorite NBA player: James Harden.

Favorite movie: The Shawshank Redemption.

 

15 Dwayne Morgan

Basics: Forward, 6-8, Sophomore

Background: Appeared in all 33 games, with four starts, and averaged 5.3 points as a freshman. A graduate of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md. Rivals.com ranked him the No. 15 player in the 2014 class.

Favorite pregame food: Spaghetti.

Favorite place I've visited: Venice, Italy.

 

20 Austin Starr

Basics: Guard, 6-3, Freshman

Background: A walk-on as a 2014 graduate of Foothill High School. Attended Impact Basketball Academy's one-year prep program in Las Vegas in 2014-15. His father, Keith, played for the Chicago Bulls during the 1976-77 season and served as an assistant coach at UNLV from 1984 to 1992.

Favorite NBA team: Golden State Warriors.

If I didn't play basketball I would: Be a pro bowler.

 

22 Patrick McCaw

Basics: Guard, 6-7, Sophomore

Background: Appeared in 32 games, with 16 starts, and averaged 9.6 points as a freshman. The team's top returning scorer. Scored a career-high 22 points in a win at New Mexico. A 2014 graduate of Montrose Christian High School in Rockville, Md., but was raised in St. Louis, Mo.

If I didn't play basketball I would: Play baseball.

I would like to visit: Beijing.

 

24 Jalen Poyser

Basics: Guard, 6-4, Freshman

Background: A graduate of Orangeville Prep/Athlete Institute in Mono, Ontario. Ranked the No. 1 ranked player in Canada in the class of 2015. Played for CIA Bounce, the same Canadian AAU program that produced former Rebels Anthony Bennett and Khem Birch and UNLV teammate Tyrell Green.

Favorite NBA team: Toronto Raptors.

Favorite places I've visited: Jamaica and Italy.

 

33 Stephen Zimmerman

Basics: Forward, 7-0, Freshman

Background: Voted the Mountain West's Preseason Freshman of the Year and named to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Watch List, which honors the top centers in college basketball. A graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, where he won four state championships. A McDonald's All-American.

Favorite food: Cheeseburgers.

My dream one-on-one matchup: Larry Bird.

 

34 Chris Obekpa

Basics: Forward, 6-10, Senior

Background: Must sit out the season as a redshirt after transferring from St. John's. Led the Big East Conference in blocks three years in a row, recording as many as 133 in a season and 11 in a game, both school records. A 2012 graduate of Our Savior New American in Centereach, N.Y. Born in Nigeria.

Favorite athlete: Hakeem Olajuwon.

Favorite TV show: The Big Bang Theory.
