Henderson’s CRAFTKitchen uses simple ingredients for extraordinary results

From the mind of chef Jaret Blinn, the idea of creating a restaurant was based on a principle — more of a golden rule — to “feed people how you want to be fed.”

He opened CRAFTKitchen, 10940 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 107, in 2015, with dishes that complement that mission.

Whether it’s patio or dining room seating, people can pop in for a quaint brunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The menu includes a balance of flavors for different palates. For those with a bit of a sweet tooth, there is the short stack of red velvet pancakes ($10.75), which includes a swirl of cream cheese icing on top.

In the mood for something more savory? Try short rib hash ($15.95) with braised short ribs and smashed potatoes with onions and peppers.

If you’re looking for a good combination of sweet and savory — with a hint of spice — there is the Chicken and What?, which includes fried chicken and waffles with a pickled jalapeno maple syrup ($11.75).

The restaurant also offers a variety of healthy options, such as the oatmeal brulee ($7), with oats caramelized with raw sugar and dried fruits and nuts; Greek yogurt ($10.75), with berries, granola and an orange-blueberry flaxseed cake; or the fresh fruit plate ($8.25) with seasonal fruit.

People can also stop in for an assortment of pastries, such as the cinnamon rolls and French macaroons, which start at $3.
