Free HIV Testing: Aid for AIDS of Nevada is set to offer the service from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at its offices at 1120 Almond Tree Lane. The tests are set to be conducted in a private and confidential setting through the same technology the health district uses, an HIV rapid screening test using a finger prick blood sample. Clark County Fair & Rodeo: The annual Clark County Fair & Rodeo is set from 2 to 11 p.m. April 6, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. April 7, 10 a.m. to midnight, April 8 and 9 and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 10 at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale, 1301 Whipple Ave. Presale discount admission is $8, and a presale pass for all five days is $24. Glass Craft & Bead Expo: The 21st annual event is planned from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 1 and 2 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3 at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event will offer nearly 150 booths and 70 tabletops, as well as demonstrations in flameworking and other glass art techniques. Additionally, more than 250 classes are set to be taught by professional artists and industry leaders, with mediums including stained, fused, mosaics, coldworking, beadmaking and marble making. Touch-A-Truck: Family to Family’s 12th annual event is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 2 in the northwest parking lot at the Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. Dozens of big rigs, including fire engines, ambulances, police SWAT vehicles, construction and roadwork equipment, will be available for youths to explore. Call for musicians: The nonprofit Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra is seeking applications for its new Academy Orchestra program for youths 15 or younger who show significant potential. The free program will welcome up to 50 new students who will work alongside internationally recognized guest artists and perform regularly throughout the year. The application deadline is April 8.
