Springlike temps to continue this week in valley

The weekend's favorable temperatures and sunny skies will continue this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday will have a high near 75 degrees and low of 49 degrees, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.

The skies will be clear and sunny with some light winds, which are expected to continue through Wednesday, Harrison said.

The forecast is predicted to be fairly similar through Wednesday. Monday will see a high near 75 degrees, though Tuesday will see an 8 degree drop with a high of 67 degrees, then it's back into the 70s with a high of 71 degrees come Wednesday.

The forecast shows clear and sunny skies for the days to come with some light winds from the northwest about 10 to 15 mph on Monday. As for Tuesday, winds from the northeast should be about 15 to 25 mph, with gusts over 30 mph.

These unexpectedly warm late-February temperatures have caused the snow on Mount Charleston to melt quickly, as high temperatures have climbed into the mid-50s, including a 55 degree high on Saturday, the weather service said.
